Fieldston Summer Camps provide a fun, eventful summer for all ages. Fieldston Sports Camps, Future Leaders, and Mini Camp are comprehensive programs covering a spectrum of subjects and interests designed to engage campers. Our programs and classes range from outdoor adventure to educational, sports, and S.T.E.A.M.

All camps are held at our campus in Riverdale.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to families based on financial needs. Families already receiving financial aid are eligible to receive aid toward summer camp. The financial aid deadline for non-ECFS families is March 15, 2022.

Refund and Cancelation

Please note that deposits are non-refundable. Full refund minus deposit will be made when notification of withdrawal is received before or by the Friday before the start of the program.

Transportation

Transportation is offered for Future Leaders and Premier Sports Camp. For an additional cost, transportation is available to those living in Manhattan and The Bronx. For more information, please email Selby at ECFS@superselby.com

Fieldston Future Leaders is a summer STEAM program for children ages 4-14 aimed at igniting a sense of discovery and wonder through exploration. Our mission is to allow campers to choose their own summer adventures by engaging in the variety of activities offered across our six-week program. In Fieldston Future Leaders, your children are in the driver’s seat as they let their interests and curiosities lead them. At FFL, the adults create S.T.E.A.M activities and experiences that are hands-on, process-focused, and solutions-oriented, then move into the role of facilitator as your children play, discover, learn and create.

All of our FFL programs cater to leadership development, confidence building, and creativity. Campers will select from the list of the following activities:

FIELDSTON FUTURE LEADERS CIT Program

Through our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program, teens have the opportunity to explore leadership in a dynamic way while earning community service hours. The first three weeks of the program will focus on what leadership looks like in the camp environment. Training will cover topics like team building, inclusion, emotional intelligence, and child engagement. Following the training weeks, Fieldston, CITs will become certified in Wilderness First Aid/CPR. This will enable CITs to utilize their new skills and function as Junior counselors with our very own Fieldston camps for the last week of the program. At the conclusion of the summer, CITs may be invited to return the following summer to work as Junior counselors.

FIELDSTON SPORTS

Rising K - GRADE 8 JUNE 21 - JUNE 24

Fieldston Sports is an action-packed day program offering a wide range of age-appropriate sports including, but not limited to, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, flag football, lacrosse, and swimming. We provide campers with a nurturing environment in which they can excel and gain self-confidence as they learn the benefits of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership through competitive sports. Our staff teaches the fundamentals of each sport with positive reinforcement and also provides a culture in which the campers will be able to have fun and thoroughly enjoy each activity.

Campers will be grouped by grade.

Ethical Culture Fieldston School’s Soccer Program is the perfect way to get them in-game shape for your school or club teams right before preseasons!


Each athlete will leave the program a better soccer player not only physically but mentally. Players will be grouped by age and ability. We combine fitness, technical training, small-sided and full-field games in daily training to enhance soccer skills.

Whether you're new to Basketball and want to learn the basics or are a more experienced player looking to advance your skills and confidence, we are the camp for you.


When wefirst came to ECFS, whether it be in Kindergarten, 6th grade, or 9th grade, we've all looked up to our varsity basketball team, dreaming of the time when we would be able to take part. Now, as members of this program, we want to give our entire school community a taste of Fieldston basketball and simply provide a place to have fun, meet new people, and play a lot of basketball! Each camper will be assigned a team at the beginning of the week, then participate in drills and games throughout the week, improving as a basketball player and having fun.

The Premier Sports Camp came is an action-packed summer camp experience. Our campus has an Olympic size swimming pool, which our Aquatics Director oversees along with our Certified Red Cross Lifeguards. Our state-of-the-art gymnasium(s) and turf fields allow for all sporting activities to take place on campus grounds. Not to mention, our campus will be able to host our NEW Fantastic Fridays, which consist of camp-wide athletic competitions and action-packed activities such as paintless paintball/laser tag, zip-lining, rock climbing, adventure ropes course, and water activities to name a few.

We are very excited to share with you our partnership with Polar, which will add a very important dynamic to our sports camp and will help our campers reach their true potential. Each athlete will receive a personal heart rate monitor, which will be worn on the athlete's wrist or arm during activity throughout the duration of camp.

Each athlete’s group activity changes on a daily basis. Each group will have 2 of the following sports and sessions on any given day. Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Flag Football. We also offer Instructional swim.




FIELDSTON VOLLEYBALL

Rising 4 - GRADE 12 AUGUST 11 - August 14

COST: $375.00

Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Camp details: This will be a preseason preparation camp. Kids will cover all skills needed to get them ready for their lower, JV, and varsity tryouts. Younger kids will get an introduction to volleyball and the skills needed to play the sport.

Model UN

Rising 6 - GRADE 8 JUNE 21 - JUNE 24

COST: $675.00

The Model UN Program is for students with an interest in exploring the field of international relations. We will teach students to hone their public speaking and communication skills, and learn the art of debate.

MUN students will learn about some of the challenges we face in the world, from topics ranging from extreme poverty to human rights or even climate change. They collaborate to explore solutions to major problems, learn about different countries and cultures, and become UN diplomats.

This is a week-long commitment.


GENERAL FAQ FOR FUTURE LEADERS CAMP:

WHAT ARE CAMP HOURS?

Monday–Thursday 8:30 am–3:45 pm

Friday 8:30 am–2:45 pm

ARE MEALS PROVIDED?

Lunch is provided. If the camper brings a lunch and beverage it must be peanut-free. Please do not send any peanuts, peanut butter, or other peanut products to camp. The camp will not serve lunch or snacks with peanuts or peanut products nor will they use ingredients that contain peanut products for cooking activities or special events. However, the camp cannot guarantee that all snacks are prepared in peanut-free environments. Therefore, parents of peanut-allergic campers will be asked to check the snack ingredients and sign off on snacks that their child can eat.

IS THERE AN AFTER CAMP PROGRAM?

Yes, an extended day is available, for an additional cost. Monday–Thursday 3:45–6:00 pm, Friday 2:45–5:00.

IF MY CHILD WILL BE TAKING THE BUS TO CAMP, WHEN SHOULD WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE CONFIRMATION ON THE TIME AND PLACE OF PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF?

Parents receive a call or an email the Friday or Saturday before their child attends camp with pick-up and drop-off information from the bus company, Selby.

WHEN ARRIVING ON THE FIRST DAY, WHERE SHOULD I CHECK IN AND DROP OFF MY CHILD?

Families will receive information prior to the beginning of camp with their child's group assignment. Parents driving their children to camp may pull up to the turn-around section near the front of the Middle School where camp personnel will meet your child and direct them to their rooms.

IF MY CHILD TAKES MEDICATION DURING THE DAY, HOW WILL IT BE ADMINISTERED TO HIM/HER?

Medication that must be administered at camp should be given to the camp nurse. All medications must be clearly labeled and have your child’s name on it. Physician’s instructions must accompany the medication. If your child will have medication at camp (administered by the camp nurse), please complete the medication form, have it signed by your doctor and return the form.

WILL THERE BE SNACK AND DRINK BREAKS DURING THE DAY?

Camp provides snacks twice daily.
